Specialized Groups for Recovery Counseling at Create, Inc.

CREATE, Inc. has specialized groups to aid in the program of recovery and personal development. Each group varies by size and location, and the schedule is based on availability. Please contact us and we will include you when the schedule becomes final.

Anger Management

Participants learn how to handle emotions without using alcohol or drugs.
 

 
 


Community Meeting

Staff and clients meet quarterly to address program quality issues.
 

 
 


Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse

The program provides therapy and counseling for the victims, as well as curriculum-based counseling for the perpetrator.
 

 
 


Early Recovery

Addresses the challenges and expectations of early recovery.
 

 
 


Family and Relationship Counseling

CREATE is well aware that addiction is a family disease that affects the community as a whole. Therefore, we provide family & significant other counseling that includes children when appropriate.
 

 
 


Healthy Living

This group helps clients address numerous health issues exacerbated by their alcohol and drug abuse.
 

 
 


Individual Sessions for Crisis Intervention

CREATE employs professionals of every discipline to address client crisis issues. CREATE also maintains numerous linkages with various community providers to assist clients in meeting their emergency needs. These sessions are usually held on Fridays at 3pm. Please contact your counselor to confirm your appointments.
 

 
 


MICA Meeting: Mental Health and Wellness

Counseling for the dually diagnosed client-mentally ill chemical abuser (MICA).
 

 
 


Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Meeting

Meetings are held onsite once a week.
 

 
 


Offender Release Group

Update: This is part of a new program that will help transition people from the correctional system into mainstream society. Please contact your counselor to confirm your appointments.
 

 
 


Parenting Skills Group

Client address such issues as: regaining parental love authority, setting boundaries and teaching their children about the negative affects of drugs.
 

 
 


Positive Socialization

Recovery-focused recreational activities, which offer a fulfilling lifestyle without substance abuse.
 

 
 


Relapse Prevention

Identification of triggers and development of a relapse Prevention Plan.
 

 
 


The Recovering Man

Addresses gender specific issues for men.
 

 
 


The Recovering Woman

Addresses gender specific issues for women.
 

 
 


Vocational Counseling

Vocational services include; job preparation, interview skills training, basic computer skills training and provision of dress clothing for job interviews.
